Comparative analysis of changing cerebral circulation in rats with induced acute cerebrovascu-lar accident using magnetic resonance imaging

This paper aims to identify method for studying changing cerebral blood filling in rats against the ischemia induced by left‑side carotid artery ligation. The experiment comprised 2 lines of rats, one of which (OXYS) was characterized by premature aging caused by genetically conditioned metabolic defect. The magnetic resonance angiography allowed to obtain images of brain arteries. The OXYS line animals responded to the acute cerebral accident in a more severe form. As reported, the magnetic resonance angiography can be successfully applied to search and study effects of new anti‑ischemic drugs.
