On the basis of long‑term studies of the nutritional status for the population in Primorsky Krai along with the analysis of bibliographic materials, the researchers have developed a strategic concept in the people’s nutrition optimization, including 14 courses for its implementation, most of which are specific to the region. Among them: ensuring the availability of the food based on marine aquatics, recovering fisheries for the marine mammals, developing the fish farming, mariculture and food industry based on non‑recyclable materials, developing the baby food industry, expanding the use of the Far Eastern flora and developing the healthy food industry, as well as the industry of biologically active food ad‑ditives, etc. The great importance is attached to the recovery of the experimental base in Primorye for the medical and biological testing the food products.
